The Anomaly that is Laura Flook: Model, Mortician, Fashion Designer, Charitable Donor

Check Laura Flook out this Thursday in the re-airing of the Discovery Channel show "Oddities."

Once a runway model, Laura Flook's fashion sense is full of Gothic inspired girly frocks sure to please those with an affection for the "darker" side of aesthetics.  It may come as a shock, or not, to you that Laura is also a seasoned funerary embalmer.  Each of her pieces have a Victorian quality to them emanating her creativity.  Each piece is hand-made and ranges in price, but on average is around $400.

Flook has a passion for her own cause which is why I am featuring her here.  5% of any online purchases will be donated to NARSAD (National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression Click here to visit NARSAD's website) that will help fund research into prevention and treatment of mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, depression and bipolar disorder. Certainly our cause directly relates in many cases to mental disorders and the treatment and prevention of will further support our efforts in the healing process for domestic violence victims.

Some have called her eccentric, but I call her a brilliant artist, full of wonder and mystery that keeps us all guessing what she will do next.
